Al-Ahly's board member Muhannad Majdi attributed his team's victory to the African Volleyball Championship to the insistence of the players despite the high number of injuries.
"Of course he is very happy to win the championship and proud of the technical staff and the players after the wonderful level they have shown despite the injuries that hit the team during the competitions," Muhannad Majdi told us.
"The team has suffered injuries to the Tunisian professional thanks to Al-Juwaini, Ahmed Abdel-Al and finally Ahmed Kotb in the semi-final against Smouha."

Al-Ahli was crowned the African Volleyball Championship Thursday night after defeating the army's final in the final three games for nothing.
